From November 7 to 9, 2020, the 17th Annual Conference of the Asian Law Institute was held online.

Du Wen, Associate Professor of Civil, Commercial and Economics Law School and Deputy Director of Civil Procedure Law Institute, attended the forum "Law & Society". He delivered a speech on the topic "Into the Unchartered Territory: Citizens Should be Empowered to File Environmental Civil Public Interest Litigations in China", which received a warm response.

China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) joined the Asian Law Institute in 2019. The scholars of CUPL made their first appearance in the annual conference. The conference lasted two and a half days, with a total of 30 halls, covering various departmental laws and a number of cross disciplines of law. More than 150 Asian scholars gathered to discuss law and law-related issues.

About ASLI:

The Asian Law Institute (ASLI) was established in 2003 through the efforts of several leading Asian law schools including Peking University Law School, National University of Singapore, Faculty of Law and University of Hong Kong, Faculty of Law, to foster Asian legal scholarship and to facilitate greater interaction among legal scholars in Asia as well as legal scholars outside Asia working on Asian law.
