Rolf Stürner, born in 1943, is a professor at the University of Freiburg, Germany, and has been invited multiple times as a visiting professor at Harvard University and New York University. From 1981 to 2008, he also served as a judge at the Stuttgart Regional Court and the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe. Professor Stürner has long been a co-editor of two authoritative German legal journals, “Juristenzeitung” (JZ) and “Zeitschrift für Zivilprozess” (ZZP), and has contributed to the commentary on the German Civil Code. His academic works have been published in German, English, and French, with some translated into Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, and several other languages, such as “Sachenrecht” and “Zwangsvollstreckungsrecht”, which have been translated into Chinese.
