Lectures on Base of Claim Right, Session 2 given by Professor André Janssen

On the evening of May 14, 2019, the second session on the lecture “An Innovation in Teaching: Trilogy of Base of Claim Right” of the Civil and Commercial Economic Law School was held in the sixth lecture theatre in the Changping Campus of China University of Political Science and Law. The spacious theatre was acked with enthusiasm.

The lecture was given by Professor André Janssen of Holand Radboud University Law School. Professor Lu Chunlong, Director of the Academic Affairs Department, China University of Political Science and Law was invited as a guest. It was chaired by Professor Tian Shiyong, Director of Law Education Research and Evaluation Center, China University of Political Science and Law, reviewed by Associate Professor Wu Xiangxiang of the Civil Law Institute, and translated by Associate Professor Jin Jing.

During the session, Professor André Janssen said that he was glad to come to China University of Political Science and Law after 18 years. The session was mainly based on the demonstration of a typical case “right drop of wine” in the case of Base of Claim Right, leading everyone to discuss what the Base of Claim Right is. Associate Professor Jin Jing gave an accurate translation.

Later, Associate Professor Wu Xiangxiang analyzed the same case according to the Base of Claim Right in Chinese law. In this session, the content of the lecture was transferred from German civil law to Chinese civil law, further enriched, and the practical significance of the lecture was further strengthened.
