On the morning of April 18, 2019, the Civil and Commercial Economics Law School held a round table exchange conference on “Legislation of China’s Social Credit System”. Dr. Benjamin Liu, senior lecturer from the Business Schoolatthe University of Auckland, visited our institute and hadan in-depth discussion with Professor Liu Ying, Deputy Director of the Institute of Intellectual Property Law and Director of the Brand and Social Credit Research Center of China University of Political Science and Law, Professor Sun Ying, Deputy Director of the Institute of Economic Law, and graduates from the Institute of Intellectual Property Law and Economic Law of our institute. The meeting was chaired by Yan Jingjing, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office.
At the meeting, Dr. Benjamin Liu introduced the background of the Development of the Social Credit System, researched by the Research Group from the Business School at the University of Auckland, Business Law, and put forward the difficulties that their research team is currently facing in the study of China’s Social Credit System, and expecte to have further mutual exchanges and cooperation with teachers from our institute.
At the meeting, participants discussed issues such as social credit information sharing and punishment between cities, and reached a consensus on strengthening academic exchanges and deepening scientific research cooperation between the two sides in the future.
