On the afternoon of May 15, 2019, Professor Yu Fei, the Deputy Dean of Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School (chairing the work), met with Professor Afra Afsharipour, the Deputy Dean of University of California Davis School of Law in Changping campus and signed “Cooperation Agreement between Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School and University of California Davis School of Law”, which marked the two schools formal establishment of a cooperative relationship.
Professor Yu Fei welcomed Professor Afra Afsharipour’s first visit on behalf of the college, and introduced the disciplinary characteristics, teaching staff, talent training, scientific research and international development of Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School, especially the private law and outstanding subjects in the third law district and excellent faculty team. Entrusted by Professor Kevin Johnson, Dean of the University of California, Davis School of Law, Professor Afra Afsharipour came to Beijing to sign the cooperation agreement. She thanked Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School for the warm reception and introduced the history, leading courses, faculty, and the number of domestic and international students of University of California, Davis School of Law.
Later, both sides conducted friendly exchanges on the concrete implementation of the future cooperation agreement, and hope that through the signing of the cooperation agreement, the two colleges will gradually extend cooperation in international talent training, teacher-student exchange, cooperative research, and construction of advantageous courses.
Also attending the talks and the ceremony of signing the cooperation agreement were Associate Professor Zhu Xiaojuan, Deputy Director of the Institute of Commercial Law of Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School, and Yan Jingjing, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office.
